TechCruch is reporting that the network provider is supposedly planning an all-staff vacation blackout for this September based on word received from a ‘trusted source’ employed at Verizon. And as per the news, it will last for 9 days from the 21st to the 30th. With the amount of excitement and anticipation the handset has generated, the carrier could be expecting large numbers of fans to turn up at stores.
On rewinding a year, details related to the iPhone 4S launch like Apple’s announcements of handsets going up for pre-order and release date, seem to fall in an identical manner. For instance, the smartphone went official on October 4, while orders commenced on October 7 with the device hitting stores a week later. The company seems to have a similar approach this time as well, where the upcoming phone will be up for pre-order on September 12 with availability slated for the 21st of the month.
Over the past months, a number of rumors have flooded the web with regards to the forthcoming handset. Some of them speculate that it would tag along a 9-pin connector instead of a 30-pin one.
