The Huawei Ascend P1 will soon make its first appearance in the UK via Vodafone with a blend of ‘beauty’ and ‘brains.’ This device will chiefly be available through the carrier in question, followed eventually by other network providers.
Around 7.69mm thick, the Huawei Ascend P1 claims to be amongst the slimmest handsets within the smartphone category. Causative to its form is a 4.3-inch 960 x 540p Super AMOLED touch panel that is outlined by a narrow metal casing. Owing to the PowerVR SGX graphics chip which caters to enhancing the entertainment experience, users can expect improved visual quality. Then there is a TI OMAP dual core 4460 Cortext-A9 CPU that ticks at 1.5GHz and powers all the operations. Beneath the hood, a 1670mAh battery juices up the device.

For the audio part, it packs in Dolby’s surround sound system, while for imaging purposes there is an 8MP, AF, LED flash, rear-facing camera that is capable of recording full HD videos. In low lighting conditions, it is said to offer good quality stills, courtesy of the integrated BSI module. Riding on the Ice Cream Sandwich platform, this smartphone sports the company’s HAP 5.1 interface that facilitates simple one-step access to dedicated apps right from the unlock screen. Connectivity features like 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, DLNA and HSDPA are included too.
The Huawei Ascend P1 price in the UK via Vodafone stands at £26 (approx. Rs. 1,440), on the monthly price plan. It will be up for grabs by the start of August.
