Samsung Gusto 2 debuts through Verizon Wireless

Samsung Gusto 2

Along with a horde of Galaxy devices, the Korean manufacturer has the Verizon Samsung Gusto 2 to offer to users who do not particularly prefer smartphones. Similar to its predecessor, the Gusto phone, it sports a clamshell form factor and comes with most basic mobile features.

The Samsung handset offers internet access and facilitates social networking on websites like Facebook and Twitter. The DyVE technology has been deployed in the phone to cut down on the background noise. The device is also included with voice-enabled attributes to speak out the incoming messages, battery level, contacts, signal strength and more. Its font size can be adjusted as well.

Besides a 2-inch main display, the phone is equipped with a 1.3MP imager with in-camera effects and shooting modes as well as other functions such as timer, brightness control and more. The shortcut keys offer instant access to camera, speakerphone, contacts, voicemail and contacts, while the directional keys can be customized for other applications.

Furthermore, it is incorporated with the Bluetooth technology to ensure hands-free communication, while the built-in VZ Navigator provides turn-by-turn directions. The sound alert mode alters the volume levels by itself to read out the contact information on receiving a call or a text. Moreover, it has been incorporated with the Fake call feature to set up a pseudo incoming call for avoiding ‘certain situations.’

The Samsung Gusto 2 priced at $79.99 (approx. Rs. 4,165) after a $50 mail-in rebate, will be made available through Verizon Wireless in the coming weeks. It requires a new two-year customer agreement.
