AT&T Nokia Lumia 920 already sold out in the US

Looks like the Nokia Lumia 920 from AT&T struck a chord with the masses in the US as the device is already unavailable through Amazon Wireless. Also, it is out of stock in most areas through the service provider, but its white version can still be purchased through a handful of stores.

The Windows Phone 8-based smartphone comes drenched in shades of black, white, magenta, red and yellow. Users can backorder the phone from the aforementioned e-retailer and sign up to get email notifications regarding its availability. The Next Web reports that customers may have to wait for a week or two if they order it through the Amazon Mobile store.

Its front panel is dominated by a 4.5-inch WXGA PureMotion HD+ ClearBlack curved multi-touch display that renders visuals in 1280 x 768p resolution. It is coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 2.0 and boasts of Sunlight Readability Enhancement which makes for a clear view even in bright sunlight. The device comes armed with dual cameras.

The Lumia 920 employs a 1.2MP front-facing webcam, provided for the purpose of making face-to-face video calls and recording HD 720p videos. An 8MP camera with a Carl Zeiss Tessar lens, dual LED flash, f/2.0 aperture with 26mm focal length, 6x digital zoom and the ability to capture HD videos in 180p resolution is fitted on the back.

The device lets users increase the memory by up to 32GB and it ships with 1GB of RAM. A 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor claims to be capable of supporting multiple applications at the same time, allowing users to stay productive and entertained at the same time. Besides 4G LTE, it is complaint with HSPA+, 3G UMTS, GPRS and EDGE mobile networks as well.

And if that’s not enough, the handset arrives with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n for wireless internet connectivity wherever there is an open hotspot. It can even act a hotspot itself for as many as 5 devices to share its 4G LTE network. The NFC- and Bluetooth-enabled Nokia smartphone is integrated with a 2000mAh lithium-polymer battery which can cough up the juice for talk time of up to 9 hours at a stretch.

The Nokia Lumia 920 carries a price tag that reads $99.99 (approx. Rs. 5,510) with a two-year customer agreement from AT&T.
