AT&T Nokia Lumia 920 price and release date revealed

The AT&T Nokia Lumia 920 smartphone’s price and release date details have been revealed and the smartphone is all set to make its debut tomorrow. It has already hit pre-order status and will start shipping from November 9.

The phone that was first unveiled in October, will be available along with other devices such as the Lumia 820, Samsung Ativ Smart PC and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. Those who wish to lay their hands on this carrier’s version of the HTC 8X will have to wait for another week or two, as its shipping date is slated to fall sometime before Thanksgiving.

As for the specifications of the Lumia 920, this Windows Phone 8 handset from the Finnish manufacturer shows off a 4.5-inch ClearBlack PureMotion HD+ capacitive multi-touch display of 1280 x 768p resolution. This screen is reinforced with a Corning Gorilla Glass coating to resist scratches, if dropped accidentally. It weighs approximately 185 grams and measures merely 10.7mm in thickness.

A 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor rests snugly under the hood for enabling users to carry out multiple tasks at the same time, with a little assistance from 1GB of RAM. A 2000mAh non-removable battery provides uninterrupted talk time of close to 10.8 hours in the 3G mode and approximately 18.6 hours in 2G or music listening time of close to 74 hours in between charges.

It seems apt for casual photographers as the device comes with an 8.7MP camera powered by the Nokia PureView imaging technology. The snapper also boasts of a number of other features like dual LED flash, auto focus, Carl Zeiss Tessar optics, 4X digital zoom and touch focus. Its advanced imaging capabilities also work towards taking 5 times more light to render clear images even in dimly lit surroundings. Moreover, there’s an optical image stabilizer to cut down on image blurs.

The AT&T Nokia Lumia 920 is attached with a price tag that reads $99.99 (approx. Rs. 5,440) with a two-year customer agreement. It can be grabbed for $449.99 (approx. Rs. 24,490) without a contract.
