Motorola Defy+ JCB limited edition handset hitting UK

Motorola Defy+ JCB

Designed especially for people working in rugged environments where sturdy gadgets may be preferred, the Motorola Defy+ JCB limited edition handset is being shipped to the UK. This adds a work-proof aspect to the smartphone which was originally being described as life-proof by the company.

The highlight of this device setting it apart from the original, is the protective sleeve over the body that’s manufactured by JCB. Made of visco-elastic material, it helps in keeping the phone safe when ported around in demanding environments like engineering or construction sites. The Defy+ JCB edition also comes pre-loaded with theodolite, spirit level, decibel meter and recorder, unit converter, torch, DIY store locator and other such applications which take away the need to carry around several other gadgets.

“We’re thrilled to be working with JCB on this bespoke Motorola Defy+ device. The unique protective sleeve will pull on JCB’s years of expertise in the construction industry to help us reach a new audience who we know are in need of a life and work proof handset,” commented Victoria McManus, UK marketing director, Motorola Mobility.
