T-Mobile Nexus 4 price set at $200 with a two-year agreement

The price of the Nexus 4 has been revealed as the device has gone up for sale through T-Mobile. We earlier reported that the device’s release date was set for November 14, while last month saw a few promotional photographs leaked. The smartphone comes with the most up-to-date version of Google Now with Voice Search and gesture typing.

The device runs on the latest version of the Android operating system, v4.2 Jelly Bean, and packs a little engine that can in the form of a 1.5GHz Qualcomm S4 Pro processor, which provides four cores worth of power to help out with 3D gaming as well as running multiple apps simultaneously. An 8MP main camera capable of capturing HD video in 1080p and in-built wireless charging round up the highlights of the phone.

16GB of built-in memory should suffice when it comes to storing captured images as well as hoarding media for entertainment on the go. Something that goes nicely with the internal storage is the 2GB of RAM included which makes sure things run smoothly. And that 8MP camera is not wasted on the 4.7-inch WXGA IPS screen which displays visuals at a resolution of 1280 x 768p. Corning Gorilla Glass 2 adds toughness to the mix.

In terms of connectivity, the Nexus 4 features Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, NFC (Android Beam), SlimPort HDMI and, as already mentioned, wireless charging. Also built into the device, we have GPS, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a barometer and a compass.

4.9 ounces of phone include a 2100mAh battery which the company claims can deliver up to 12 hours of talk time and as much as 24 days of standby time. On the imaging front, users can experience interesting attributes such as continuous focus, real-time zoom and time lapse mode. Also on the front panel is a 1.3MP snapper for video chatting and such.

Although the Google Nexus 4 is available from the Play store for $300 (approx. Rs. 16,455) unlocked and contract-free, T-Mobile is selling it at $200 (approx. Rs. 10,970) when attached to a 2-year contract. The carrier is also offering an unbound version of the smartphone at $500 (approx. Rs. 27,420).
