The Galaxy S3’s younger sibling is here and an e-retailer has already announced the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini price in the UK. The Jelly Bean-powered device takes inspiration from the aforementioned flagship smartphone by the South Korean manufacturer and tags along features like S Beam, S Voice, Smart Stay, Direct Call, Smart Alert, Google Now and more.
Its curved frame measuring 121.55 x 63 x 9.85 millimeters, tips the scales at 111.5 grams and wears a 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED touchscreen on the front panel. Resting snugly under the hood is a 1GHz dual core processor to ensure multitasking on the move. The handset ships with either 16GB or 8GB internal storage and has an expansion slot to increase the memory by up to 32GB using a microSD card.
The mini version of the S3 has been armed with dual cameras – a 5MP rear-facing snapper with auto focus and LED flash as well as a front-mounted VGA webcam for video conferencing over the web. It runs Android Jelly Bean tweaked with the TouchWiz UI and offers wireless communication options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC. A 1500mAh battery should keep the phone going for a relatively long period of time.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 mini carries a price tag that reads £298.80 (approx. Rs. 25,290) and it can now be pre-ordered through Clove. Its official release date is yet to be confirmed.
