After Verizon Wireless, MetroPCS is another network provider to have added a 4G LTE device to its lineup dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G. The affordably priced Android smartphone will be available without annual contracts for a limited time from the carrier.

The phone lets users multitask with the assistance of a processor, which clocks in a speed of 1GHz. Operating on the Android Gingerbread platform, the device’s front panel is dominated by a 3.5-inch touchscreen. Besides a 1.3MP front facing camera to facilitate video conferencing over the internet, it is equipped with a 5MP rear facing snapper with LED flash that not only captures still shots, but also videos.

“The Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G is designed to meet the needs of consumers who manage their lives on the go and we’re excited to provide another feature-rich 4G LTE Android handset to MetroPCS and its customers. Since the device is versatile, users can easily transition between personal and professional usage, with features that make the Galaxy Attain 4G the perfect ‘everything’ phone,” stated Dale Sohn, president of Samsung Mobile.

The faster internet speed allows uploading pictures and videos from the phone instantly to social networking websites. And need we mention that users can gain access to the Android Market for browsing and downloading over thousands of applications, tools and games? It also lends support to Google Mobile services like YouTube, Gmail, Google Search, Google Talk and many more.

The Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G price is $199 (approx. Rs. 10,280) exclusive of taxes, after a $50 mail-in rebate. It will be available for a limited period of time through the official web portal or local MetroPCS stores. It requires service plan starting at $50 per month.
