The Sprint HTC Evo 4G LTE that is believed to be nothing but a redesigned version of the One X, now has a release date. The smartphone will be dispatched to users starting May 18. This HD Voice capable HTC phone should ensure faster web access and an intuitive interface as it takes advantage of the Android 4.0 platform as well as HTC Sense 4.0.

Similar to the One series, the handset boasts of the ImageSense technology to improve the image quality and capture stills while recording videos through the 8MP camera. A 1.3MP imager has been placed on the front panel along with an HD display spanning 4.7 inches. Fueled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual core processor, it draws power from a 2000mAh battery.

In order to make it apt for viewing movies or for video conferencing, the smartphone has been fitted with a kickstand, which can be used to place it on a smooth surface. It comes with Sprint Professional Grade, which tags along attributes like enhanced security, device management and Exchange ActiveSync. Moreover, the Beats Audio integration should keep users entertained on the move.

The Sprint HTC Evo 4G LTE release date and price stand at May 18 and $199.99 (approx. Rs. 10,230), respectively. It is now up for pre-order and requires a two-year customer agreement with an eligible upgrade or new line of service.
