All those speculations surrounding the white Nokia Lumia 800 turned out to be true after all. The Finnish manufacturer has announced the upcoming availability of the white variant of its flagship Windows Phone device, which will be released before the end of this month.

The Nokia Conversations blog revealed that the smartphone’s pasty version will initially be released in countries like Finland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Poland, Scandinavia, Germany, France and the UK. The Mango based device offers instant access to social networking websites. Besides an enhanced web browsing experience through Internet Explorer 9, it features integrated communication threads and lets users create groups of contacts.

“Since we began selling it late last year, the Nokia Lumia 800 has received rave reviews around the world. Now in white, the Lumia 800 brings with it an even more premium look and feel with its gloss finish, but packed with power and performance underneath its sleek body,” quoted Ilari Nurmi, Vice President of Product Marketing, Nokia.

The front panel of the Lumia 800 is dominated by an AMOLED ClearBlack multi-touch curved display, spanning 3.7 inches. Its multitasking properties can be attributed to the 1.4GHz CPU with hardware acceleration, while discrete visuals are achieved due to the built-in graphics processor. The device is equipped with an 8MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics and supports high definition video recording. Along with 16GB onboard memory, it lets users save digital content in the SkyDrive storage, free of charge. Moreover, the handset is loaded with apps such as Nokia Drive, Nokia Music as well as access to the Windows Marketplace.

The White Nokia Lumia 800 price has not been revealed, but it should be priced on par with its previously released counterparts.
