Snapdeal has recently started selling the MapmyIndia Carpad 5 in India, which happens to be a heady combination of a tablet and a smartphone that even features a built-in GPS navigator. The 5-inch slate hides a Samsung processor under the hood and operates with the help of the Android OS.

The device’s TFT HD capacitive multi-touch display renders clear visuals in 800 x 480p resolution and draws power from a 2000mAh battery. A 1GHz Cortex A8 chipset makes it capable of carrying out multiple tasks at the same time and the Gingerbread platform v2.3.4 makes for an intuitive user interface. Needless to say, users can access the Google Play store for browsing through thousands of applications.
