The T-Mobile HTC 8X release date is set to coincide with that of the carrier’s variant of the Nexus 4, while its price has been pegged at $200. Powered by the latest Windows Phone platform, the device has also been introduced by Verizon Wireless and will be launched by Thanksgiving.

Drenched in the shade of California Blue, the HSPA+-enabled HTC smartphone is blessed with a 4.3-inch HD LCD 2 multi-touch display which is coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 in order to avoid scrapes and scratches. Accompanying this 720p touchscreen on the front panel is a 2.1MP camera which facilitates video conferencing as well as recording 1080p movies. The back panel has an 8MP primary snapper that also boasts of its capability to record high definition videos of 1080p resolution. Featuring 16GB of internal storage, it ships with 1GB of RAM.

Resting snugly under the hood, is a 1800mAh battery along with a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset that processes at a speed of 1GHz. There’s a micro SIM card slot and a 3.5mm audio jack to connect audio peripherals and make the most of the Beats Audio technology integrated into the 8X. Bluetooth and NFC are deployed for wireless data transfer, while Wi-Fi ensures internet access, if there is an available hotspot.

The 8X can be picked up from T-Mobile with the classic plan of $199.99 (approx. Rs. 10,795) or with the value plan of $149.99 (approx. Rs. 8,104) along with 20 monthly installments of $20 each. Both plans come with $50 mail-in rebate and a two-year customer agreement.
