Tango based Nokia Lumia 900 smartphone in the offing?

Nokia Lumia 900

While the Lumia 800 smartphone is garnering praises for its lightweight design and intuitive interface, the Finnish manufacturer is busy planning the launch of its next flagship device, the Nokia Lumia 900. The web is abuzz with speculations that the aforementioned device, deployed with the Windows Phone Tango OS, will hit market in the U.S. early next year.

The Lumia 900 is expected to draw inspiration from the Lumia 800 which was introduced at the Nokia World 2011 about a month ago along with another Windows Phone handset, the Nokia Lumia 710. According to BGR, the former will sport a slightly larger display along with certain other technical improvements. Reports suggest that this device will be fueled by a 1.4GHz processor, while its front panel will be adorned by a 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED display. It will also feature an 8MP snapper that should be capable of recording high definition videos.

Furthermore, the rumored device will operate with the Windows Phone Tango platform as opposed to the Lumia 800 that runs the Mango OS. Apparently, Tango is believed to be the intermediary platform between the current Windows Phone OS and the upcoming version which is supposedly titled Apollo. Certain other suppositions hint towards the company’s plans of releasing the Nokia Champagne that also employs Tango.

And that’s certainly not all – the Nokia Lumia 900 smartphone will hog its fair share of limelight during its debut, early next year. Windows Phone fans can probably look forward to this handset’s arrival some time after the CES in January 2012.
