The Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 710 smartphones made their entry into India at an event held in Mumbai today. Introduced to the globe last month at Nokia World, the stylish handsets operate on the new Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS.

The Nokia Lumia 800 boasts of a 3.7-inch toughened WVGA 800 x 480 AMOLED capacitive ClearBlack touchscreen display with pinch zoom and curved glass. Dressed in vivid colors like cyan, magenta and black, it offers support for Internet Explorer 9 and HTML5 applications.

The newly unveiled smartphone is powered by a 1.4GHz processor and also features a graphics co-processor. It comes equipped with an 8MP auto-focus camera possessing Carl Zeiss optics and video capturing capability of 720p at 30 frames per second. The HSDPA 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled device provides users with 25GB of free SkyDrive storage with integrated cloud computing, besides the 16GB onboard memory.

Incorporated with 8GB of internal memory and 512MB RAM is the Nokia Lumia 710. It sports a 3.7-inch 800 x 480p ClearBlack TFT display and lends support to connectivity options such as 3G HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth along with quad band radio reception.

This handset should please social networking website addicts as it provides full integration of Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Users are allowed to share pictures with just a few taps and employ the Nokia Drive functionality that displays free turn-by-turn navigation. The mobile device comes embedded with a 5MP auto-focus camera featuring LED flash that lets users shoot HD videos at 30 frames-per-second.

The Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 710 smartphones are scheduled to retail from authorized retail stores across India by mid-December and will be available for pre-order early next month. Details regarding their prices have not yet been revealed by the company.
