Mimo Magic Touch 10″ touchscreen mini-monitor disclosed

The Mimo Magic Touch 10-inch touchscreen mini-monitor was recently announced by online electronics retailer MimoMonitors.com. The device is being hailed by the company as the first USB-drive capacitive touchscreen monitor.

This new monitor comes in two variations namely, the Mimo Magic Touch that provides one USB 2.0 connection for connectivity as well as power and the Mimo Magic Touch Deluxe which is incorporated with two convenient USB ports to serve as a mini-hub for connection with other peripherals. The Deluxe version is also accompanied by a separate AC adapter for recharging or powering the devices plugged into the USB hub.

Measuring less than 1-inch in thickness, the compact device delivers a screen resolution of 1024 x 600p on its 10-inch touchscreen display. It is also capable of serving as a display-only monitor for PC’s running Windows Vista/XP/2000 and Mac OS. Fully compatible with Windows 7, this monitor is said to be apt for corporate videoconferencing, point-of-sale input and entry as well as usage with smart home entertainment systems besides various industrial or manufacturing controls.

The Mimo Magic Touch’s design lets users remove the screen and use it independently from its docking station as a mounted display or a tethered USB-powered tablet. It is also believed to be practical for other touchscreen applications in fields of hospitality, retail, healthcare, education and sound and video editing.

The Mimo Magic Touch 10-inch touchscreen mini-monitor and the Mimo Magic Touch Deluxe are priced at $299.99 (approx. Rs. 15,725) and $329.99 (approx. Rs. 17,297), respectively. While the former is set to commence shipping from December 12, the latter will be available from December 20. Both the devices are now available for pre-order online at mimomonitors.com.
