Motorola Razr Smartphone

The soon to be launched Motorola Razr smartphone, sporting a splash-guard coating has been encased in a curvaceous chassis. The slim and sleek exterior of the smartphone is said to pack in some powerful features in addition to a 1.2GHz dual core processor and an 8MP camera.

Sporting diamond-cut aluminum accents, the smartphone is adorned with a 4.3-inch touchscreen featuring Super AMOLED Advanced display technology as well as Corning Gorilla Glass and Kevlar fiber. Powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB RAM, this device runs on the Android Gingerbread platform. It employs an 8MP rear-facing camera, capable of recording HD videos at resolutions of up to 1080p.

“Motorola Razr is an iconic brand, and one that originally revolutionized the mobile device industry by turning a functional necessity into an object of desire. Now we’ve done it again with a head-turning, ultra-thin smartphone that offers users breathtaking speed, innovative apps and revolutionary accessories,” stated Sanjay Jha, chairman and CEO, Motorola Mobility.

The pre-loaded MotoCast app allows users to stream content directly from the PC, eliminating the need to upload it to third-party websites. Boasting of business attributes, the mobile device is pre-installed with the Motorola Smart Actions app which adjusts Bluetooth and GPS settings or automatically texts people in case the user misses their calls.

The Motorola Razr smartphone is compatible with a number of Motorola accessories including the Lapdock 500 Pro and Lapdock 100. It can be plugged into the HD Dock or HD Station to facilitate connections to peripherals like speakers or HDTVs. Besides navigation docks and Bluetooth enabled keyboards, the device can also be paired with the recently released Motorola Elite Sliver Bluetooth headset.

The Motorola Razr smartphone is expected to hit stores in North America, Africa, Asia, Latin America, Middle East and Europe by November.
