Uniquely designed T-Mobile LG Doubleplay makes an appearance

T-Mobile LG Doubleplay

The forthcoming LG Doubleplay by T-Mobile has surfaced in the web world via some sneaky press shots. The most striking aspect of this mobile phone, which had previously made an appearance going by another name, Flip II, is its interesting keyboard slide design as well secondary display.

As per the press snapshots obtained by Pocketnow, the device’s name appears clearly etched upon a metal plate on its back panel. Apart from this, the lens peeking out of the rear also indicates a 5MP camera supported by the LED flash feature. This handset is touted to possess a 320 x 480p resolution HVGA main display.

It also features a secondary screen embedded in its slider keyboard whose size or resolution tech specs are not yet clear. The Doubleplay reportedly runs on the Android Gingerbread mobile operating system. This handset was seen flaunting a silver QWERTY keypad when it made its debut appearance as an all black device at a London event hosted by Orange and Kineto Wireless. It is believed to be capable of supporting GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth besides offering support for T-Mobile’s HSPA+4G connectivity.

If widespread speculation is to be considered, the LG Doubleplay is most likely to launch on November 2 and come with a price tag of $149.99 accompanied by a customer contract. What’s more, the post we’re referring to also cites TmoNews while saying that four other handsets will be launched along with the LG phone.
