A sequel to the previously launched ME line-up, the next generation HCL Infosystems X1 ME tablet is now available in India. The sleek tablet is based on the Android platform and pre-loaded with about 34 applications including some India-specific apps such as ESPNCricinfo, 99 acres, Book my show and many more.
Operating on the Google Android Gingerbread (2.3) platform, the tablet is equipped with the 1GHz Cortex A8 processor. Its 7-inch capacitive multitouch screen delivers 800 x 480p resolution. Employing a 2MP camera, the tablet is capable of displaying full HD 1080p resolution videos. The 4GB internal memory of the tablet can be expanded up to 32GB.

The key attraction of the HCL Infosystems X1 ME tablet is its HCL Touch feature for one-touch access to a number of services. Additionally, ME Connect facilitates data transferring from computing devices. Besides the Android Market, the tablet also provides access to the ME App store offering over 10,000 applications. It is powered by the 3500mAH battery and is compliant with USB dongles. The support for Adobe Flash Player 10.3 enhances its web browsing capabilities.
The HCL Infosystems X1 ME tablet is now available across India for a price of Rs. 10,490.
