The PlayStation certified Sony Ericsson Xperia Play has been made available in the UK through Clove. The Gingerbread-powered device boasts of delivering an immersive gaming experience and lands in a Value Bundle packaged along with accessories.
The Android device sports a 4-inch LED backlit capacitive multi-touch display of 480 x 854p resolutions. It is fueled by the 1GHz Scorpion Qualcomm processor supported by the Adreno 205 graphics processor. The smartphone employs the Timescape user interface which displays all social media updates and emails as well as messages in one place. The 1500mAh battery it uses is capable of coughing up the juice for more than 8 hours on GSM networks.
This Sony Ericsson phone is basically meant for gaming and it features dual touch thumbpads besides a touchscreen. And for better gaming controls, it includes a 4 button D-pad, 4 button PS symbols and 2 shoulder buttons. Its on-board 8GB memory is expandable up to 32GB with the aid of a microSDHC card. Further, the DLNA certified smartphone is equipped with a 5MP camera integrated with LED flash and autofocus.
It is pre-loaded with games such as Bruce Lee: Dragon Warrior, FIFA 10, Star Battalion, The Sims 3 and Crash Bandicoot.
