Boy Genius Report ruffles some more feathers off Palm. Reportedly the company’s Palm Pixi and Palm Pre phones will be released through Verizon Wireless early next year. The handsets will supposedly be called Palm Pixi Plus and Palm Pre respectively.

There’s also word around that the Palm Pre Plus has been codenamed Russell while the Palm Pixi has been codenamed Romo. The two phones are expected to operate on the very recent webOS version 1.3.5. We wonder why there isn’t any new update considering its releasing next year.

As far as features are concerned, the phones are anticipated to be quite identical to Sprint’s Palm Pre. Other than that there are no details on the hardware specifications or the design.

Seemingly, Verizon Wireless customers should be all pepped up to welcome these two new phones in their family.
