Sony Vaio T

With notebooks now an indispensable part of our lives, manufacturers seem to be coming up with some of their best technologies. Remember the Sony Vaio T notebook? Yes, the notebook is back after a short disappearing act only to be incorporated with Intel’s powerful CULV processors.

Netbooked reports that on checking the pre-Windows 7 models of the Sony Vaio T, it seems to have been added with the Core 2 Duo SU9600 and Celeron SU2300 processors. The stylish notebook had apparently vanished from the notebook scenario after stiff competition from other CULV thin and light notebooks that were far cheaper.

Spotted on Sony Japan’s website, the notebook looks the same and should be configurable with Intel’s Celeron SU2300 at 1.2GHz, dual-core, Core 2 Duo SU9400 at 1.4GHz, dual-core or Core 2 Duo SU9600 at 1.6GHz processors. The Intel GMA 4500MHD chipset along with a choice of 4GB or 8GB RAM are the other attributes of the notebook. Users can also have their pick from any Windows 7 edition platform.

Besides this, an array of other interesting features are also revealed, this includes a choice of 512GB SSD or 500GB HDD or both, Blu-ray, Digital TV tuner, 802.11n Wi-Fi and a fingerprint scanner. On the battery front, the notebook claims to last up to 17 hours on a large capacity while the small capacity battery should deliver nearly 11 hours of computing time.

No prizes for guessing Sony’s price tag still remains. The notebook will cost users around $1,405 (approx. Rs. 65,380) at its cheapest configuration.
