Motorola Hint QA30 – The First 3G Messaging Device Launched by Cricket

Sometime back, we reported on an apparent release of Motorola Hint QA30 via Alltel and Bell Mobility. Sadly, there were no official announcements from any of the companies.

Motorola Hint QA30 In the middle of nowhere, the same mobile phone has again hit the online media terrain with an official announcement stating that it is launched in the market via Cricket.

Cricket Communications makes the compact, slider phone, called the Motorola Hint QA30, available for the American customers. The main highlight of the handset is the support for tri-band connectivity and 3G data downloads.

Featuring a full QWERTY keypad, it claims an easy access to email and 3G Mobile Web. It even sports a large 2.5-inch color display, a 2.0 megapixel camera with video recording capability, an MP3 player and stereo Bluetooth. The device is also compatible with a microSD memory card for users to store all their multimedia contents for leisure.

“Hint is an extremely versatile device that will allow our customers to conduct their mobile lifestyles with speed and agility. It’s a great way for customers to take advantage of Cricket’s unlimited offerings, such as texting, email, Mobile Web and Mobile Video,” said Jeff Toig, vice president of product marketing for Cricket.

According to Dan Papalia, vice president, Motorola Mobile Devices, “Hint is a great match for Cricket’s popular services. The stylish slider design combined with Cricket’s high-speed network makes it easy for customers to keep in constant contact with friends and family in a variety of ways.”

Offering various unlimited plans, Cricket has already rolled out the Motorola Hint QA30 mobile phone via its retail stores and dealers for a suggested price of $249.99 (approx. Rs. 12,460).
