HTC strengthens its Windows Phone portfolio

HTC has been introducing new handsets at regular intervals. Recently we witnessed the launch of the Android-based Tattoo handset. The company is now gearing up to strengthen their Windows phone portfolio with the launch of three new handsets. The three newly launched phones include the HTC Touch2, the Touch Diamond2 and the Touch Pro2. All three handsets will incorporate Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system.

The HTC Touch Pro2 has been specially optimized for business professionals. Designed to portray style and strength at the same time, this handset is said to provide a power-packed performance. The HTC Touch Diamond2 is said to deliver a never before touch experience. The Diamond2 promises to offer all the functionalities of a smartphone without compromising on the looks.

The Touch2 is another handset that is said to expand HTC’s Windows phones portfolio. The handset has been designed to target a broader group of consumers. The Windows operating system delivers powerful messaging, browsing and productivity capabilities to these handsets. Apart from this, it offers the best in class e-mail experience. All the three handsets are capable of synchronizing with Microsoft Exchange and supporting Microsoft’s My Phone services. These handsets also provide support for the latest Windows Marketplace for Mobile.

The HTC Touch2, Touch Diamond2 and Touch Pro2 are now available in the Europe. The handsets can be purchased from select operators in Europe. These Windows-based phones will be made available in other regions in the coming months. The pricing details of these handsets are yet to be disclosed.
