Verizon to exclusively sell BlackBerry Storm Smartphone on November 21

A lot of details on BlackBerry Storm – the first ‘clickable’ touch screen BlackBerry smartphone – has been released over the web. As promised, RIM has announced the exclusive availability of the Storm 9530 through Verizon in addition to Vodafone.

Now, an official announcement of availability and pricing of the BlackBerry Storm is divulged. Verizon will bring the BlackBerry Storm 9530 in the American market on 21th November for a suggested price of $199.99 (approx. Rs. 9,825) after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract.

The highlighted features of the Storm are a 3.5-inch SurePress touchscreen display, support for Global Phone and Global Email services, full HTML browser support, compatibility with Facebook, VZ navigator function to access GPS audible turn-by-turn directions, a removable 8 GB microSD memory card and stereo Bluetooth headset with noise cancellation.

Moreover, the device also comes equipped with 3G broadband connection, voice notes to schedule business and other meetings with eased, and built-in mobile streaming capabilities to watch videos.

The 9530 touchscreen smartphone can be purchased from Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and the company’s official website.
