Though some cases of injuries due to the mobile phone battery explosion were recorded, but very few death cases were found. And here’s one more to the list.

There is news that a Korean man died in a probable mobile phone battery explosion. The man called Suh (family name) was found dead at his workplace in a quarry on Wednesday morning. The Scenario there suggested that battery explosion might have caused the death.

Police official in Cheongwon told The Associated Press that Suh’s phone battery was found melted in his shirt pocket.

Police further informed that the phone was made by South Korea’s LG Electronics Inc, which is one of the leaders in handset market worldwide. However the name of the battery manufacturing company is not yet known.

Though LG has agreed that their device was involved in the accident, it refused to comment much as the case is yet under investigation.

Well, In my opinon i think that the only reason a battery would “exploded” is becasue this battery or phone has been exposed to a certin heat or high temperture. For a phone thats just sitting on a cold couner of someones home should of no reason to do such things.
