T-Mobile has introduced two new sidekick mobile phones, called Sidekick LX and Motorola-built Sidekick Slide.
Based on Sharp’s Aquos hi-definition LCD technology, the Sidekick LX comes with a WQVGA widescreen, a 1.3-megapixel camera, a music player for MP3 and AAC tracks. It has the ability to send text messages with images.
It also features enhanced Web browser with better JavaScript support, microSDHC card reader that can handle cards up to 4GB and a custom MySpace application.
The black and deep purple Sidekick Slide has been developed by Motorola and is smaller than the Sidekick LX. It sports the swivel screen, built-in, real-time, AOL IM, Windows Live and Yahoo! Messenger support.
Moreover, Bluetooth connectivity and quad-band are some of the other features of the phone..
Both phones will be available to T-Mobile customers on October 17th. The Sidekick LX model costs $300 (approx. Rs. 12,000), whereas the Sidekick Slide will retail for $200 (approx. Rs. 8,000), each with a two-year contract agreement.

ok ive been reading comments all day and now i’ve settled for the Lx even though im sleek and cute the slide would look cuter in my hands, but hey im still shostopper without a phone right now and the LX sounds awesome and what’s a sidekick without its signature swivel screen.

the slide is awesome. i had the juicy conture & sk3 but the slide is overall the best. i had the lx but had to replace the screen after 2 weeks and i never touched the ground !!
i have side kick slide it good has a lot more memory etc get side kick slide!

I have the sidekick 2008 but b4 I got it I really wanted the lx….but if anybody wants a sidekick get the 08 because it does the same thing as the lx and it 50 bucks cheaper…so SIDEKICK 2008 ROX!!!!
