Samsung G800 Camera Phone Officially Launched

Earlier, we had reported about Samsung being in the works of introducing G800. Today, Samsung has officially announced the release of its camera phone, called the Samsung G800.

Samsung G800 Camera handset Samsung offers 5-megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom, Xenon flash to enable close-ups, face detection and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) functionality. It also features panorama shots, multi shots and macro shots.

The features also include 2.4-inch QVGA LCD wide display with 256K colors, 240 x 320 pixels and a new viewfinder interface – Graphical User Interface (GUI), which is claimed to be intuitive and simple to use. It also comes with an On Screen Display (OSD) that shows various camera indicators in a horizontal preview mode.

The Samsung G800 is also bundled with 160 MB internal memory with microSD, GPRS, 3G, Bluetooth, USB, Stereo FM radio and supports MP3/AAC/AAC+/e-AAC+/WMA playback files.

Geesung Choi, President of Samsung’s Telecommunication Network said, “As multi-megapixel camera phone becomes more and more popular, the needs of actual digital camera-like features grow together. Samsung’s G800 will satisfy the unmet needs in the camera category with a true digital camera-like design and functionality. The G800 will enable users to capture and share precious moments in their daily lives through the enhanced camera functions in a fast 3G network.”

Moreover, the slider phone also carries video editing functions for the user to cut, paste and edit their videos with ease. Owners can also upload their favorite content via a mobile blogging features. With the help of HSDPA support, the phone has the ability to upload photos or videos (User Created Contents) faster.

Samsung G800 camera phone is slated to be available in European countries in November this year at the retail cost of $500 (approx. Rs. 20,000).

    pl let us know the differenc between full black g800 and silver g 800. since clicking button on the side is differcnce.
    for black its a rectangle and for silver it is round switch.

    2.whether the full black is available in india.
