After Google, even Yahoo has jumped in the race of providing a SMS service in India. Yahoo has announced that its oneSearch SMS service will now be available for all major operators in the country.
Now Airtel, BSNL, Vodafone, Idea, Reliance and Tata subscribers can text their query on 58242. Users can use it to receive oneSearch SMS results for Local, Weather, Finance, and News clusters or a link to view all other results on the Mobile Web.
Yahoo has announced its partnership agreements with eight major mobile operators around the world such as Telefonica, Globe Telecom (Philippines), Idea Cellular Limited (India), LG Telecom (Korea), Maxis Communications Berhad (Malaysia), PT Telekomunikasi Selular “Telkomsel” (Indonesia) and Taiwan Mobile (Taiwan).
The launch of such SMS services have brought the world of information at the fingertips of the mobile users.
The product name is incorrect. It is oneSearch and not onSearch. Please correct it. Also, it is available with all operators except BSNL. Kindly change that too
