The Hammacher iPad 2 photograph frame is a docking station that allows users to house their Apple tablets so that it acts as a digital frame to display their pictures. The tab easily slides into the device, which can either be used to charge it or for synchronization to a computer system.

The docking station spotted by Ubergizmo, sports an espresso finishing and is splashed with a dark cherry color. The frame with dimensions of 10 x 11.75 x 5 inches, weighs around 2.5lbs. Fitted with an adjustable stand, it allows users to position it in both landscape as well as portrait orientations. This device transforms the iPad into a digital photo frame while it is getting charged.

And besides the slate, it can accommodate an 8- x 10-inch photograph which will be displayed when the tab is not docked. The maximum viewing area offered by the device for pictures is limited to 7.5 x 6 inches. As opposed to the slab that needs to be slid into the construct from the side, a picture can be mounted from the back panel. It is displayed from behind the clear plexiglass and an optional beveled black mat measuring 0.75 x 0.5 inches.

The frame is embedded with a 30-pin connector to facilitate connections with the iPad. The tablet can also be operated when docked as it comes with a home button in addition to a speaker port. The gadget is packaged along with an adapter which can be employed to plug it to an AC connector.
