Windows 8-ready MSI CR41 laptop has a ‘youthful’ exterior

The MSI CR41 is dressed to entertain with a stylish design on the outside and a latest Core i processor on the inside. To top it off, the laptop features a lightweight and portable form factor complemented by a royal bronze tone metallic finish.

The multimedia notebook draws power from an Intel Core i processor that teams up with the Turbo Boost 2.0 technology to deliver an enhanced user experience. For visuals, it is deployed with a 14-inch 1366 x 768p HD display and the HM76 chipset that caters to enhancing graphics. A 4000mAh 6-cell battery that delivers up to 7.5 hours of usage is hidden under the hood.

To save on battery life, the company has thrown in dedicated keys that can eject DVDs, turn off the screen and much more. The Turbo Battery feature can control the power consumption of certain hardware components with just a simple mouse click. Built around the dimensions of 349.7mm x 234.8mm x 32mm, it weighs around 2.4kgs. Users can also employ the 1.3MP camera fitted onto its chassis, to conduct video calls.

In terms of memory, the laptop houses up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM along with a 500GB, 640GB or 720GB SATA HDD. Audio features like a pair of 2W theater class speakers and SRS PC Sound are included as well. And even though it operates on the Windows 7 Home Premium platform, users will be able to upgrade the laptop to Windows 8 when the OS is released. On the connectivity front, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.0.
