Sony Vaio T Series Ultrabooks introduced

Sony Vaio T Series 01

Sony seems to have taken longer than most others for employing Intel’s flagship technology to design the Sony Vaio T Series Ultrabooks, but it’s better late than never. Powered by the second generation processors from Intel, the series features devices in screen sizes of 11.6 and 13.3 inches dubbed T11 and T13.

These sleek notebooks encased in lightweight exteriors carved out of aluminum and magnesium, are fitted with LED screens each. Their Rapid Wake + Eco mode instantly starts the Ultrabooks, while closing the lid puts them in deep sleep. The SSD models belonging to this range, are capable of coughing up the juice for uninterrupted computing for up to 9 hours. Besides a touchpad that recognizes gestures such as flick, pinch-to-zoom, pivot and more, these portable computers are armed with Exmor for PC HD webcam.

The low voltage Intel Core i3-2367M processor and 4GB DDR3 1333MHz SDRAM fuel the device, while the Intel HD Graphics 3000 GPU makes for an enhanced visual performance. The hybrid models have also been included with the Intel Smart Response technology. The crisp and clear sound can be attributed to the xLoud and Clear Phase technologies and PlayMemories Home by Sony works towards polishing the HD video clips.

The notebooks are also loaded with a 90-day trial of the Intel Anti-theft service to avoid unauthorized access to personal data and Adobe Acrobat X Standard to create and share PDF documents. The connectivity options are inclusive of HDMI, VGA and RJ45 connectors in addition to a media card slot. Users can also charge their handheld gadgets via the USB port, even while the portable PCs are in the sleep mode or switched off.

The Sony Vaio T Series Ultrabooks release date and price information is yet to be announced. They are expected to be made available this month itself.
