The Acer Aspire S7 price details have been confirmed after being officially unveiled by the company back in June. Wrapped in an all-aluminum unibody chassis, the Ultrabook weighs just about 2.29 pounds with a thickness of 0.47 inches.
The device is available in an 11.6-inch variant or a 13.3-inch version. Both models have an HD IPS 10-point screen that renders visuals with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and are coated with rigid lids from white Corning Gorilla Glass 2 or aluminum. The upper panel can be tilted back up to 180 degrees for the display to rest flat on a table or desk just like a tablet. In addition to the dual torque hinge that supports the screen when in an upright position, the display can also be rotated to a maximum of 180 degrees via a hotkey for viewing content from any desired angle.
Users can configure this Windows 8 notebook with 3rd generation Intel Core i5 3317UB or i7-3517U processors. In addition to these, the chassis is lined up with a microHDMI socket and a USB port for extended connectivity. The company has even included an all-new thermal TwinAir cooling feature that aims at keeping the temperature cool while extending the battery life. Speaking of which, the notebook can provide up to 6 hours of run time that can be doubled through an optional second battery.
The Acer Aspire S7 Series price starts at $1,199 (approx. Rs. 62,820) for the 11.6-inch version, while the 13.3-inch one costs $1,399 (approx. Rs. 73,300). Their North America release date has been scheduled for October 26.
