MSI outs Official Specifications of X-Slim X320, X340 and Wind U123 Netbooks

MSI X320, X340 and U123 Netbooks

Here are the detailed specifications of three new netbooks from MSI. Called the MSI Wind U123, X-Slim X320 and X-Slim X340, the trio is expected to get displayed at CTIA Wireless 2009.

Speaking about the Wind U123, it is powered by the 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 processor and features a 10.2-inch WSVGA LED display, 1GB of DDR2 memory and a 160GB 2.5-inch hard drive. Further, the ultra-portable PC also comes embedded with a 4-in-1 card reader, three USB 2.0 ports, a D-Sub connector and even a TV antenna connector. Working on either a 6-cell or a 9-cell battery pack, the netbook even employs MSI EasyFace identification software for security purposes. According to MSI, this netbook will offer an option for 3G/WiMAX solutions.

Next is the ultra-slim X-Slim X340, it is said to be the first portable PC to work on Intel’s latest CULV platform. And the X-Slim X320 is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor.

The X340 features Intel’s GS45+ICH9M-SFF chipset with 1080p-capable GMA4500MHD graphics, an HDMI output and support for 4GB of memory with 320GB 2.5-inch hard drive. And the X320 has the Intel GMA500 graphics card, up to 2GB of DDR2 memory and 250GB 2.5-inch hard drive. The X320 is said to support an optional for 3G/WiMAX connectivity.

Both the X-slim netbooks sport a 13.4-inch display with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. Running on Windows Vista operating system, the computing devices are equipped with a 1.3 megapixel webcam, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, three USB ports, VGA outputs and a 2-in-1 card reader.

The MSI Wind U123 is slated to reach the US market by May in shades of blue, red, white and grey. While the MSI X-Slim X320 will hit the American stores in May for around $700 (approx. Rs. 35,007), the MSI X-Slim X340 is scheduled to launch in May for $1,000 (approx. Rs. 50,026) in silver, white and black colors.
