Two New Sony VAIO Notebook PCs with Centrino Duo Launched

Sony VAIO logo Sony has introduced two new notebook PCs VAIO VGN-FZ240E/B and VAIO VGN-FZ285U/B, increasing its VAIO FZ lineup further.

The common features of both the laptops include Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 2.0 GHz, Windows Vista Home Premium operating system, 2GB DDR2 SDRAM (1GB x 2, max 4GB), 250GB SATA (4200 rpm), X-Black LCD 15,4″ WXGA (1280×800) XBrite-ECO and Intel PRO/Wireless 4965AGN Network Connection (802.11a/b/g/n).

They feature the same dimensions (355.8 x 24.9 – 34.5 x 254.4mm) and the same weight (2,7kg).

The Sony VAIO VGN-FZ285U/B comes with a NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT graphics card and Blu-ray disc drive. The Sony VAIO VGN-FZ240E/B offers a Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 and a DVD+-RW/+-R DL/RAM.

Depending on the configuration, the new Sony VAIO laptops retail for $1,299 (approx. 53,400) and $1,399 (57,500).
