Sony Vaio CR Notebook PC Sony, leader in electronic products, has introduced the new Sony Vaio CR notebook. The chic design and vibrant colors such as sangria, cosmopolitan, dove, indigo and black (matte finish) light-weight laptop appears to target the youth who are interested in looks and compactness rather than high-end performance.

At 5.5 pounds the CR notebooks delivers a standard battery, a specialized keyboard font, an LED that pulsates beneath the notebook’s trim to indicate what is happening — booting up, powering down, hibernating — and glowing and fading accordingly.

According to Mike Abary, senior vice president of VAIO product marketing for Sony Electronics in the United States, “Just like the car you drive, notebooks today are an extension of your personality. As such, users expect their PC to reflect their creativity and individuality, as well as handle their spreadsheets.”

The specifications of the Sony Vaio CR Notebook PC include:

  • Built-in 802.11n wireless LAN capabilities

Price for CR11 and CR12 is rs. 55000 and CR14 costs rs. 65000. You can check sony india website for a number of dealers where u can buy the notebook.

This model CR11 and CR12 seems to be gud enough.. Although I would suggest you to wait for its performance reviews.. look wise u wont get better than this.. after all SONY VAIO is the brand name everyone would eye for.. I bet in case you get to see the model live, you won’t be able to resist urself.. there are many showrooms for Sony India.. priced for Rs.54990 is a good deal with Intel Integrated Media Accelerator X3100.. There’s a new model CR13G already launched in Singapore, cumng by mid-august in rest of the Asia. Check out that also..

you have wrongly mentioned that vaio CR notebooks have 4 MB RAM, 200 GB harddisk & vista home premium whereas the actuals are 1 MB RAM, 80 GB harddisk & vista home basic.

    6. suresh

i have wrongly mentioned the RAM in MB instead of GB in my above comment

can anyone tell me which dealer in new delhi can give me cr11..

I sympathise with all those who have bought sony vaio like me, but for all those who are wanting to I would like to share my experience. On 23rd august i purchased the CR11 notebook and had a bundle of problems including the speed being so slow. Neither the Sonyworld showroom gave me any response to my queries nor the service center could be of much help, a typical,’who cares’ kind of attitude.
I doubt if this has a core2 duo chip, because the machine is dead slow. If anyone wants it i will give it away at 10,000 less i.e. Rs.45000/- only. Thereafter I am going to sue Sonyworld in the consumer court.

Wrong features displayed for CR14. it is 1GB RAM, 100GB HDD, and intel PM965 chipset, with VISTA Business. itis avilable in india at Rs. 59990. I doubt about clear bright display as it is not looking good even with less cross view. Overall look …excellent. Color ..Aroma Black (its cool)… in control panel>system>device manager…processor TAB ..surpriceingly it shows T7500, 2.2GHz instead of T7100, 1.8 GHz.

Major drawbacks….. size ..14.1″(i prefer 15.1″), Max RAM 2 GB (it should be atleast 4 GB), only Clear Bright LCD (it should be Clearbright High color 90 LCD), No free carry bag.

Its good to buy in Rs. 54000 with Free Carry Bag …..instead of Rs.59990.
