The MSI Wind Top AE2281 and AE2281G all-in-one PCs save on space with the ID design that clubs the monitor and CPU into one system. These devices go green with their LED backlit technology that is said to be 30% more energy efficient as compared to regular CCFL panels.
Both PCs share similar features, except on the power and graphics fronts. While the AE2281 uses Intel HD Graphics 2500, the AE2281G comes with an Nvidia GeForce GT630M DDR3 graphics card. Each functions on the 3rd generation Intel Core i5 3450S processor that goes careful with the power consumption. Equipped with an Intel H61 chipset, the device houses 4GB DDR3 1333 internal memory and a 3.5″ 500GB 7200RPM hard disk drive.
A 17.3″ LED backlight display that offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080p dominates the front panel, while a Super Charger juices up the PC without needing it to be turned on. Apart from these features, the chassis shows off a range of I/O ports like HDMI in/out ports, a USB port, a mic in port and an earphone out port. Along with a 6-in-1 card reader, the Wind Top tags along a 1.3MP webcam and a microphone for video conferencing. Additionally, the company has bundled it in with an optional wall mount kit that enables users to fix it on a wall.
The included Smart Media technology connects DLNA and Wi-Fi-enabled devices to play multimedia content instantly via the cloud, while Smart Sync manages data like bookmarks, documents, calendars, outlook contacts and more through a connected phone or PC. The feature simultaneously creates a backup without making duplicates. Furthermore, each member of this series is infused with military grade parts such as solid state capacitors, SFC and Hi-c Cap that enhance durability and performance.
