Philips has unveiled the HF3490 Wakeup light. This light also incorporates an iPhone/iPod dock. According to Gizmodo, the HF3490 incorporates approximately 20 brightness settings.
Waking up to natural light is more pleasant as compared to waking up to any kind of sound (no matter how sweet). This light alarm promises to wake up users in a less stressful manner. The 20 brightness settings gradually increase the intensity of light to wakeup users in a pleasant manner.
For heavy sleepers who are least affected by brightness, this alarm comes with four preset nature sounds. Alternatively, users could also select a track from their iPhone. This light not only promises to wake up users but also helps them drift off to sleep. The dusk stimulation mode of the HF3490 gradually dims the light and music to create a pleasant and drowsy atmosphere.
The Philips HF3490 Wakeup light will be made available starting from August 22 and can also be pre-ordered now for a price of $199 (approx. Rs. 9,587).
