fx-9860G Slim Graphing Calculator by Casio Nearly anyone who studies Physics, Maths or Engineering, swears by the Casio Calculators. Now Casio is now introducing the fx-9860G Slim, an elite graphing calculator. It will be showcased at the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics 2007 Annual Meeting and Exposition March.

The fx-9860G Slim has a natural display input option that allows input and viewing of equations exactly as they appear in textbooks. It also features PC and projector connectivity via USB and large 1.5MB flash memory, which allows for data storage and downloading of many add-in applications. Casio are also introducing a multi-module online training course called “fx-9860G Slim 101 Online Training Course” to help educators maneuver through the calculator’s features.

John Casey, GM of Calculators and Printing Devices, Casio says, “We are proud to introduce the fx-9860G Slim to students completing courses in mathematics and science who understand the need for an instrument that is easy to navigate but can fully function given complex equations. This model’s design makes it student-friendly as it is much lighter and smarter than typical graphing calculators and creates a desire to learn because it is not your traditional mathematics tool.”

The fx-9860G Slim graphing calculator will be available from June 2007 for $99.99 (approx. Rs 4400). Educators will be given a discount by Casio; they can get the calculator for $91 (approx. Rs. 4050).
