Amazon, an online bookseller, has planned to unveil a new ebook reader, called the Kindle. It is said that this ebook reader will be based on Wi-Fi connectivity.
Users can download ebooks and surf the Internet with the help of the wireless without connecting to the computer. Featuring a keyboard, the Kindle helps users to note down the content and browse to the Internet. It has the ability to display the pages in black and white.
The Kindle ebook reader will also come equipped with Really Simple Syndication (RSS) support that allows users to download news from major newspapers. It also comes with pre-loaded content to showcase its usability using the proprietary Mobipocket software.
In addition, the device will directly get connected to Amazon’s online ebook stores. This helps the consumer to access over 700,000 titles.
The Kindle ebook reader device will be available from Amazon with at a price ranging between $400-500 (approx. Rs.16,250 – 20,350).
