The Nintendo Wii U gaming console’s basic and deluxe bundles have finally hit availability status, in time for the holiday season. According to the OEM, the accompanying GamePad controller is capable of changing the way gamers browse, play, share and even communicate.
It was launched along with over 30 titles, that are said to suit the preferences of all types of gamers. The Basic set features a Wii U console with 8GB of onboard memory as well as GamePad controller, both drenched in pristine white. Besides these, it also comes with a couple of AC adapters, an HDMI cable and a sensor bar.
The Deluxe bundle includes all that is there in the Basic set, but instead of the white 8GB console, the former comes with a black one that has 32GB of internal memory. Apart from this, users can expect a console stand as well as a stand and a charging cradle for the GamePad. The gaming device in question flaunts a compact form factor and measures 10.6 x 6.75 x 1.8 inches. It tips the scales at 1.6 kilograms.
The console gains steam from an IBM Power-based multi-core processor, while it has been integrated with an AMD Radeon high definition GPU which has been assigned the task of ensuring enhanced visuals. Players can expand the memory of this gadget using an external USB drive. It arrives with built-in Wi-Fi and sports 4 USB 2.0 ports for connectivity purposes.
Its GamePad controller acts as a second window for players as it has been fitted with an LCD touchscreen of 16:9 aspect ratio, spanning 6.2 inches. Additionally, it has been embedded with a couple of analog sticks, traditional controls and other keys like power, select, start, TV control and home buttons.
And if that’s not enough, the NFC-enabled device has been deployed with an accelerometer, a gyroscope and a geomagnetic sensor as well as a webcam, a microphone and stereo speakers. It is even packaged along with a stylus.
The Basic and Deluxe sets of the Nintendo Wii U gaming console are up for sale for prices of $299.99 (approx. Rs. 16,520) and $349.99 (approx. Rs. 19,270), respectively.
