Enterbrain head Hirokazu Hamamura has predicted that Nintendo will possibly launch its latest version of Nintendo DS handheld in E3 2008, which will be held in Los Angeles on 15th-17th July.
The calculation comes from few important key points, which have been considered by Hamamura, such as the leading videogame device maker follows a steady pattern of showcasing a new handheld in every two years time. In 2006, Nintendo unveiled the DS Lite – a thinner, smaller, lighter version of the previous DS game console. The Nintendo DS handheld game console was launched in 2004.
The second vital point is that the Nintendo spokesperson Hiroshi Yasushi told Famitsu that the company cannot comment on this issue at present, according to a translation made by Akayuki website. Besides, it is also believed that the rumored handheld might incorporate media functions that include dedicated audio and video playback as well as an additional slot for removable storage.
E3 is known as the year’s biggest gaming trade show. Hamamura claims that the show would be appropriate for Nintendo to bring out its upcoming DS handheld.
