Nokia 6212 Classic NFC-enabled Phone Unveiled

Nokia 6212 classic The newly unveiled mobile phone, Nokia 6212 classic comes equipped with Near Field Communication (NFC), offering the sharing of data between devices about a 10 centimeter (4 inches) distance. Consumers can easily exchange their content, access services and information, and even carry out payments or ticketing by just a tap.

NFC is a short-range high frequency wireless communication technology and is mainly intended for mobile phones usage. Users can even get latest content, including weblinks, audio files or contact data directly to their phone.

Users have the ability to operate applications such as FM radio, web browser and music player. The handset also features a 2 megapixel camera, bright 2-inch QVGA display and an optional microSD memory card of up to 4GB. With the included Nokia BH-210 Bluetooth NFC-enabled device, they can access all functions easily with a single multifunction key.

With the Nokia 6212 classic, people can swap items like business cards or calendar notes by simply tapping their handsets together. With ever-increasing device functions and services available, ease-of-use is essential. One way to keep things simple is NFC.”

Owners can also utilize the mobile as a travel ticket for flights and payment of bills. They do not have to wait at the service counter in order to purchase the ticket. The phone that saves credit card information can access internet. For payment purposes, a service subscription and the installation of an appropriate secure application are needed. They need not worry about security for transactions, thanks to the additional passcode that enables payment only when the user particularly authorizes the transaction.

Moreover, the Nokia 6212 classic also provides a freedom to customize and edit user’ NFC tags to write calendar entries or set the alarm clock. Three sticker tags are bundled with the handset, in which one opens the NFC introduction in the phone.

The Nokia 6212 classic 3G mobile phone will hit the European and Asian market in Q3 of this year for EUR 200 (approx. Rs. 12,660).
