NEC VT800 Digital Network-Ready LCD Projector features Silicon Optix HQV Technology

HQV logo NEC has joined hands with Silicon Optix, the leader in advanced video processors, to develop VT series of digital network-ready projectors that features HQV Technology for power. Called VT800, it has been designed for educational and professional purposes.

According to Bob Guentner, Product Manager for NEC Display Solutions, “The HQV technology allows the VT800 to stand out from its competitors. HQV enables such unique features as Advanced Accublend, which delivers detailed images when using non-native resolution sources and 3D Reform automatic keystone correction. This ensures that no matter what angle the projector is set up in relation to the screen, vertical distortions are instantly corrected.”

Consumers will notice the sharpest and most detailed HD images by using features that include true 1080i-to-1080p HD de-interlacing and a sophisticated multidirectional diagonal filter. This will enable video free from jagged edges.

“NEC continues to be a strong proponent for HQV. By incorporating the unique capabilities of our technology, NEC can provide a business product that delivers high-level image quality in situations where native resolution sources and room conditions may not be optimal,” commented Jim Mannos, President and CEO of Silicon Optix.

With the help of the Emmy award winning HQV technology, SD material video can produce HD quality as it make use of enhanced scaling, per-pixel detail enhancement and noise reduction technology. The projector removes noise and artifacts caused by compression.
