Razer Lachesis Gaming Mouse

Razer, a leading manufacturer of gaming peripherals has announced a high- precision 3G laser gaming mouse named Lachesis. The new mouse is a truly revolutionary peripheral, featuring 4000DPI laser.

“None of the DPI numbers on our mice are interpolated figures, which other mouse makers’ achieve by enabling tweaking of the software included with their mice. Our DPI specifications are all hardware-based, which essentially means what you see is what you get – true DPI,” said Robert Krakoff, president of Razer.

“We’ve also included two more buttons right below the scroll wheel with which gamers can cycle through pre-determined DPI stages. We’ve heard the communities’ requests for true on-the-fly DPI switching and we’ve designed the Razer Lachesis to make it possible,” he added.

Key features of the Razer Lachesis gaming mouse are:

  • 4000DPI 3G Laser Sensor
  • 60 – 100 IPS (depends on the surface)
  • Improved Lift-off Distance
  • Razer Synapse 32kb Onboard Memory
  • Variable DPI settings in 125DPI increments
  • 1000Hz Ultrapolling / 1ms response
  • Nine independently programmable Hyperesponse buttons
  • On-The-Fly Sensitivity
  • Always-On mode
  • Ultra-large non-slip buttons
  • 16-bit ultra-wide data path
  • Zero-acoustic Ultraslick Teflon feet
  • Gold-plated USB connector
  • Seven-foot, lightweight, non-tangle cord
  • The new mouse will sure attract gamers with its ambidextrous design. It measures 129mm (length) x 71mm (width) x 40mm (height) and weighs approximately 128g. No doubt gamers are going to love this device. But to have one they will have to wait till October 2007.
