Logitech Introduces PlayStation 3 Peripherals

Logitech today announced new gaming peripherals especially designed for the PlayStation 3 console. The latest Logitech Cordless Vantage Headset and Logitech Cordless MediaBoard Pro Bluetooth Keyboard give freedom of movement to gamers.

“Logitech is pleased to offer two Bluetooth-enabled products for the PLAYSTATION 3 console platform, making the PS3 experience even better,” said Bruce Lancaster, vice president of Logitech’s interactive entertainment business unit.

“The Cordless Vantage Headset for PS3 allows gamers to coordinate with teammates – wirelessly. And the Cordless MediaBoard Pro Bluetooth keyboard significantly improves the PlayStation Network experience, making it easier and faster to manage accounts and text with friends,” continued Lancaster.

The Cordless Vantage Headset features an ambidextrous behind-the-head design. Also gamers can wear the earpiece in either ears with just a simple rotation of the headband and microphone. The microphone sports noise canceling feature that allows it to reduce unwanted background noise. The Vantage runs on rechargeable batteries offering PS3 gamers more than 12 hours of wireless gameplay. Also the power adapter comes along with the headphone so that users can charge the battery at anytime.

The Cordless MediaBoard Pro Bluetooth Keyboard is also specially designed for PlayStation 3 and features a dedicated Menu button that takes people directly to the PlayStation Network Help menu. Also the keyboard makes PlayStation navigation easy with its dedicated PS3 action buttons such as circle, square, X and triangle.

With the help of the Bluetooth technology, the Cordless MediaBoard Pro keyboard can be used up to 30 feet away from the PS3. The keyboard also incorporates built-in touch pad that features vertical scrolling and Left- and Right-click buttons. Thus it eliminates the need of extra mouse. The keyboard also works on the rechargeable battery and rates the 200 hours of battery life. Battery indicator is provided in case of low battery.

The Cordless Vantage Headset will be shipped in Europe and US by the beginning of December. While, the Cordless MediaBoard Pro Bluetooth Keyboard is expected by October. Both the peripherals will carry the price tag of $79.99 (approx 3,240 INR).
