84-inch LG 3D UD TV to make an appearance at CES 2012

The LG 3D UD TV sporting a whopping 84-inch screen will be accompanying the recently announced 55-inch OLED TV to the CES 2012. This 3D TV proficiently combines the Smart TV function with ‘ultra definition’ display technology to deliver unmatched home entertainment, says the company.

The TV claims to render extremely clear picture quality with up to 8 million pixel resolutions (3840 x 2160), which is believed to be four times more than most conventional HDTVs. And similar to the 55-inch panel, the 84-inch television will also don the company’s Slim and Narrow Bezel Design.

“LG is pushing the limits of home entertainment innovation with this 3D UD TV. We are bringing together all our Smart TV and 3D knowledge in the 3D UD TV in order to demonstrate to the CES audience that LG is committed to being the world’s leading brand for immersive home entertainment in 2012 and beyond,” stated Havis Kwon, President and CEO of LG Electronics Home Entertainment Company.

Promising unrivaled 3D viewing experience outside the movie theaters, users can customize its effect by means of 3D Depth Control. Along with visuals, the device also lets them control the audio through the 3D Sound Zoom option. Moreover, the integrated 2D to 3D conversion engine allows enjoying most content in the 3D mode.

And if that’s not all, the display panel provides access to the LG Smart TV ecosystem. This ecosystem boasts of over 1,200 applications along with a number of services similar to 3D Zone, which offers a wide range of 3D movies to select from. Additionally, the LG Magic Remote which is slated to be released next year is compatible with this 84-inch display of the company.
