Epson SurePress L-4033A comes to Asia

Epson SurePress L-4033A Epson forays into Asia bringing in imaging and printing solutions with its SurePress L-4033A, and marking its entry in the commercial label printing industry. This short run digital press comprises the company’s own Micro Piezo print head technology, to generate high quality labels.

The SurePress doesn’t require any chemicals or plates in the pre-press process and takes about 15 minutes of make-ready time as opposed to traditional letter or semi-rotary press printers that need up to three hours for setup. Espon’s versatile digital press aims to offer color management, finishing options, substrates and more while working in collaboration with their partners.

Taking benefit of L-4033A’s six-color, water-based, pigment inks and enhanced productivity, the device can churn out results on substrates that are 330mm wide, at speeds up to 5m/min. It works effectively when printing short runs of up to 6,000 100mm x 118mm labels. It also allows printing with film label stock of up to 0.32mm in thickness and rolls that are 80-330mm wide.

The equipment seeks to deliver smooth gradations and sharp detail (for bar code readability) while maintaining the color quality in the output. Its easy functionality and less time-consuming capabilities make it a good option for firms looking to venture into digital label printing or even those who intend to expand their digital printing capacity and even commercial printers trying to expand their printing portfolio.

The pricing and availability details of the Epson SurePress L-4033A have not yet been revealed.
