Canon EOS 6D

The latest high-end camera to be unveiled is the Canon EOS 6D, and for those curious, its price and availability details have been revealed. The camera is expected to slot in allowing budget-conscious photographers and videographers to acquaint themselves with full-frame imaging. It builds on the EOS 5D Mark II and comes in both a body-only configuration as well as a kit version.

The EOS 6D features a 20.2MP full-frame CMOS sensor coupled with the company’s Digic 5+ image processor and pulls wireless capabilities and GPS out of its bag of tricks. In addition, there is an 11-point autofocus array for better picture quality, while facilitating high-quality vibration-based dust removal is an integrated cleaning system.

The camera’s 3-inch LCD has a 170-degree viewing angle and allows easy focusing and framing when used in Live View shooting. It is capable of recoding full-frame 1080p video at 30, 24 and 25fps, while it can also be used to record 720p video at 60 and 50fps and standard video at 30 and 25fps. Just like with the 5D series, audio and exposure settings can be controlled manually.
