Leica M9-P Edition Hermes camera sets outed

Leica M9-P Edition Hermes 01

The Leica M9-P Edition Hermes and the M9-P Edition Hermes – Serie Limitee Jean-Louis Dumas camera sets have geared up for their release in the UK and the US over the course of the next two months. They will be introduced as limited edition packages and needless to say, will attach hefty price tags.

Crafted by Parisian House, the M9-P plays successor to the likes of the MP and M7 Edition Hermes. The M9-P shooter included in this set as well as the shoulder strap have been carved out of the ocre Veau Swift calfskin leather, while the imager is designed by Walter de’Silva. The device with a completely redesigned top deck, shutter release, base plate, multifunctional wheel and shutter speed dial appears pretty different from its original namesake. It features a consecutive limited-edition number apart from the dedicated serial number. The camera comes bundled with either one or three lenses.

Next up is the Leica M9-P Edition Hermes – Serie Limitee Jean-Louis Dumas set that is packaged along with three lenses, namely – Leica Summicron-M 28 mm f/ 2 ASPH, Leica APO-Summicron-M 90 mm f/ 2 ASPH and Leica Noctilux-M 50 mm f/0.95 ASPH, each of them reinforced with a silver-anodized finish. The hand-finished Hermes bag accommodates the special edition camera as well as the accessories and a book of pictures captured by Jean-Louis Dumas using the Leica M snapper. The shooter in this edition lacks the accessory shoe, Leica script and the frame selector lever, but otherwise resembles the standard version.
